Always worth a visit: the Hombroich Museum Island and the rocket station. The intensive mixture of art, landscape, nature and architecture is unique – and everything is linked to the history of the place.
This time I was more interested in the buildings and the atmosphere of the Langen Foundation than the current exhibits. Especially since the new sculpture hall by the sculptor and draftsman Thomas Schütte has just opened in the immediate vicinity. The UFO has landed, is the first impression that comes to mind when the building emerges. I could hardly imagine a more suitable place for this than the rocket station…
The trip also proved to be an inspirational setting for my collection of ceiling photos from the HIDDEN BEAUTY ABOVE series, which has grown again. You can see two copies here.
